Hi there! I'm Tavi, a member from CZ. I'm the Administrative Member Advisor, which means that I'm the most member-facing of the people associated with the BSC's Administrative Committee (which you've probably also heard called AdCom for short).
AdCom is a committee that has the power to make exceptions to BSC policy for individual members and is in charge of administering the BSC's emergency grant fund. Some of the most common cases that we deal with are student status/determining members' eligibility to live in the BSC, offering emergency grants or extended payment plans (beyond the one-time extensions that can be requested through the member portal), and waiving cancellation charges for members who have to leave the BSC due to extenuating circumstances. Members should use this link to submit AdCom cases and appeal AdCom decisions. I'm happy to help you figure out what to put in your case, what kind of documentation the committee might want to see, or to just answer questions about BSC policy.
As a slight caveat, AdCom is currently dealing with a large backlog of cases, which means that decisions for cases will take longer than normal. If you think you may need to submit a case, I would highly recommend you do so or reach out to me as soon as you can.
