Summer Applications are now open on the member portal! If you are interested in Summer co-op housing, click “Apply” on the top right of the webpage to create an account. After you create an account, login to the portal to submit an application for the term you are interested in, click “Add to Waitlist.”
We have affordable housing in apartments, rooms, and room and board houses. We rent to students attending colleges and universities around the world.
We have Summer housing available and we offer contracts for the full Summer (May 18-August 9), the first half of Summer (May 18-June 28) and the second half of Summer (June 29-August 9). Rent is prorated for members signing contracts after the start of the contract period depending on the date we start holding a spot for you. Please contact the office at housing@bsc.coop or 510-848-1936 if you have questions.
Rates are per person. The full Summer contract is 12 weeks long.
For those who have full Summer contracts, the first rent payment is due with the contract and the final rent payment is due June 5.
Houses offering food during summer will be: Davis, Hillegass Parker, Hoyt, Lothlorien (vegetarian food), Oscar Wilde (LGBTQIA+ Theme House), Person of Color Theme House, Stebbins, and Wolf. All other houses will be open for Room-Only during Summer 2024.
To be eligible to live in Cloyne during the Summer, you must either be a UC Berkeley student during Spring 2024, OR a UCB student during Fall 2024 OR enrolled in 5 or more units at UC Berkeley during the Summer. At Convent and Hillegass Parker you must be a graduate student or 25 years old or older.
