Habitat East Bay/Silicon Valley honors MLK's vision of the Beloved Community, an aspiration of a society that cares for all its members. One devoid of poverty, racism, hate, and hunger, through our work to increase housing opportunity and to revitalize neighborhoods.
During Habitat EBSV’s 2023 Beloved Community build on Saturday, April 1st from 8:30am-4:00pm, participants will work side-by-side with other community members at our Esperanza Place development in Walnut Creek.
No construction experience necessary! All tools, safety equipment, and training will be provided on your volunteer day, as well as a light breakfast, lunch, and event T-shirt.

The Re-Up Refills Shop is... hiring! I am one of the co-owners of the Re-Up Refill Shop here in Oakland (Rockridge area). Re-Up offers a range of ecological bath, body, cooking, food, kitchen, and cleaning products in refillable containers, reducing waste from single-use plastics. The other two co-owners (Peter and Matt) both were heavily involved and lived in the BSC the entire time they were at Berkeley. Matt in Kingman and Peter at Cloyne. After graduating they were involved in the co-ops in some capacity too. Re-Up is hiring for a Full-Time General Manager position!
