BSC Job Opening: Member Resources Assistant

The BSC is currently hiring for the Member Resources Assistant position! Applications are due Wednesday, July 26th at 5:00 PM. The position starts at the beginning of the Fall contract period. You can find the job application here.

This is an exciting, dynamic position that provides excellent professional experience relevant to a wide variety of fields, ranging from administrative assistance to graphic design and web design to event coordination, and depending on the unique strengths and interests of the individual.
 
This is a 17-hour/week job in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. It is compensated with a rent credit at $14/hour for 12 hours per week, in addition to fulfilling your five-hours/week workshift requirement. (Apartment residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours at $14.00/hour, as this job does not replace the workshift requirement at the apartments). The position is also eligible for work-study compensation.

BSC Job Openings: Health Worker Coordinator and Health Education Coordinator

The BSC is currently hiring for the Health Worker Coordinator (HWC) and Health Education Coordinator (HEC) positions! Applications are due Wednesday, July 26th at 5:00 PM. Both positions start at the beginning of the Fall contract period. You can find the HWC job application here, and the HEC job application hereBoth the Health Worker Coordinator and Health Education Coordinator positions are exciting, impactful roles that provide excellent professional experience for anyone interested in a career in public health, medicine, or any other health-related field. 
 
The Health Worker Coordinator and Health Education Coordinator are responsible for organizing trainings and facilitating health worker meetings, and work closely with unit-level Health Workers to ensure that all units have access to health supplies, health tips, and other health-related resources. 
 
Both positions average 8 hours/week for the Fall and Spring, fulfilling the 5 hour/week workshift obligation in the houses and providing an additional stipend for 3 hours/week at $14/hour. The HEC position is also a 5 hour/week position during the Summers. (Apartment residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours at $14.00/hour for both Fall and Spring, as the jobs do not replace the workshift requirement at the apartments). The positions are also eligible for work-study compensation.

The BSC is currently hiring for the Social Manager Coordinator position! Applications are due Wednesday, July 26th at 5:00 PM. The position starts at the beginning of the Fall contract period. This is an exciting and rewarding position that provides excellent professional experience for anyone interested in a career in event planning or a similar field.
 
The Social Manager Coordinator (SMC) is responsible for planning and executing BSC Wide events (including the annual BSC Graduation every Spring), and is the Chair of the BSC Programs Board. The SMC also works closely with all unit-level Social Managers to ensure that all BSC parties are safe and well-planned.
 
This is a 10-hour/week job in the Fall/Spring semesters and a 6-hour/week job in the Summer semester. During the Fall and Spring semester it is compensated with a rent credit, in addition to fulfilling your five-hours/week workshift requirement. (Apartment residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours at $14.00/hour for both Fall and Spring, as this job does not replace the workshift requirement at the apartments). The position is also eligible for work-study compensation.

CERT/CPR Trainings Available Now
 
The Berkeley Fire Department has recently announced new CERT training opportunities y'all should be aware of. The dates/topics for these trainings are:

 
If you are in a small/medium sized unit, you must have at least 3 CERT trained managers 
If you are in a large unit (Cloyne, CZ, Fenwick, Rochdale) you must have at least 5 CERT trained managers.
